    Rimbun Dahan Artists Residency Exhibition
    Where: Rimbun Dahan, Km. 27 Jalan Kuang, Kuang, Selangor

    THIS is Rimbun Dahan’s 18th residency exhibition. It features plastic casts that resemble soldiers by Helmi Azam Tajol Aris and paintings inspired by digital images first collaged on a computer screen.

    SHOWCASES the works of five award-winning artists — Bibi Chew, Eiffel Chong, Jasmine Kok, Kim Peow Ng and Suhaimi Fadzir — in mixed media, photography, sculpture, installation, print-making and painting. Chew is the 2013 Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship nominee.

    ONE of the most prolific and talented artists from Argentina, Gustavo Charif has produced two artworks titled Camouflage which are inspired by sculptures by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali. Patrons to this exhibition will also get to see the two precious bronze sculptures on the opening night, an original by Picasso and one attributed to Dali.

    THIS is Husin Hourmain’s third solo Contemporary Calligraphy exhibition. The 30 pieces of seminal works with a very contemporary flavour took Husin three years. Husin’s paintings are aesthetically attractive calligraphy works.

    SHOWCASES 18 canvas paintings by Poojitha Menon. Also featured are 10 pieces of glass art and other mixed media works. Born and bred in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, Poojitha is a graduate of Tourism and Hospitality from Avinashilingam Deemed University.
