IN conjunction with the release of Resident Evil: Retribution in cinemas next month, Chinese actress Li Bingbing will be visiting the country as part of the film's promotional activities. Li, who plays survivor Ada Wong in the movie, will meet fans at the entrance hall of Sunway Pyramid, Subang Jaya on Sept 7 at 6pm.
Fans also stand a chance to win 200 movie tickets and limited edition movie merchandise. Invited guests will then proceed to TGV Sunway Pyramid to watch the premiere screening of the movie.
The event is sponsored by TGV Cinemas as part of its ongoing initiative to provide the best cinema experience for Malaysians.
Directed by W.S. Anderson, Resident Evil: Retribution also stars Milla Jovovich as post-apocalyptic fighter Alice, Michelle Rodriguez (Rain Ocampo), Kevin Durand (Barry Burton), Sienna Guillory (Jill Valentine) and Oded Fehr (Carlos Olivera).
It will be premiering for the first time here on Imax.
This means cinema-goers can enjoy the movie on Imax’s revolutionary projection technology which delivers crystal-clear images, powerful digital sound and customised theatre geometry.
TGV Cinemas recently extended its partnership with Imax Corporation which will see more Imax theatres opening in the country. TGV will open its second Imax Theatre in Bandar Utama in October and the third in a multiplex in Johor Baru in December.
The fourth and fifth Imax theatres will be located in Penang (December 2013) and Kuala Lumpur (December 2015).
