SHOWBIZ: Rihanna to heat up music awards

POPULAR singer Rihanna will heat up the MTV Video Music Awards live from Staples Centre in Los Angeles at 9am on Friday.

The Wanted, Andy Samberg, Rashida Jones, 2 Chainz and Ke$ha will join the list of presenters who include Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller and the “Fierce Five”, the US Women’s Olympics Gymnastics team.

Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, the awards will also feature performances by Taylor Swift, Green Day, P!nk, Alicia Keys and One Direction.

Jesse Ignjatovic (Den Of Thieves) is the executive producer with Hamish Hamilton as the director.
