Hong Kong’s God of Songs adds another date to his tour here, writes Loong Wai Ting
FANS of Sam Hui, rejoice! If you have not bought your tickets to the Sam Hui’s Concert Live in Malaysia 2012, which will be held at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands next month, here’s your chance.
Due to overwhelming response — tickets to his (initial) first show on May 26 were sold out within six weeks — the organiser has added an extra show on May 25. Not only that, the organiser will also be inviting Hui’s elder brother Michael onstage for a trip down memory lane.
Known for his witty songs and catchy lyrics, Hui’s career spanned four decades beginning in the 1960s. The God of Songs is also known for his films.
During the span of his career, Hui has become a major factor in influencing the Cantonese music and movie industry in Hong Kong.
Tickets to the Sam Hui’s Concert Live in Malaysia 2012 are priced between RM180 and RM580. There is an additional RM3 processing fee.
