UPDATE - GENTING BUS TRAGEDY: List of survivors in HKL, Selayang Hospital

KUALA LUMPUR: The authorities have released the names of some of the injured survivors warded at Kuala Lumpur and Selayang hospitals.

Their conditions are described to be semi-critical and critical.
 

The semi-criticals are in Selayang Hospital are: -

1. Raawnok Arefin, 14, (male) from Bangladesh.

2. Nur Syamimi Ja'afar, 25, (female), Malaysian.

3. Nur Fathiah Ja'afar, 21, (female) - Malaysian.

4. Rashidah Buyah, 50, (female) from Bangladesh.

5. Andri Purwaidi, 25, (female) from Indonesia.

 

Critical

6. Nurul Quraitul Aini, 19, (female) Malaysian

7. Rezyan Arefin, 24, (male) from Bangladesh

8. Nur Fridil Gusman, 23, (male) from Indonesia.

(Victims Numbers 1 and 7; 2 and 3 are siblings)

 

List of 5 injured survivors at HKL:


1. Wong Teraphong, 63, male, Thai


2. Saidah, 19, female, Malaysian


3. Razif, 26, male, Malaysia


4. S.E Ali Haider son of Shyed Haider, 46, male, Bangladeshi
 

5. Tan Min Shing, 26, male, Malaysian

Meanwhile, Bernama report quoted Selayang Hospital director Dr Siti Zaleha Mohd Salleh saying they would undergo operations starting tonight and it may take a week to complete all the medical procedures.  

"Three are critical, while five are semi-critical but all of them are now stable," she told reporters when met at the hospital here tonight. 
 
She said one of the victims, Rashidah Buyah, 50, from Bangladesh, was the mother of two other survivors from the bus, Raawnok Arefin, 14, and Rezyan Arefin, 24.   
"There were four family members on board the bus, but one of her sons was sent to another hospital," she said.  
 
"The other survivors were also identified by their respective families," she said. 
 
The eight survivors admitted to the hospital comprised three Malaysians, two Indonesians and three Bangladeshis.
