Johor football fan died after nine days in coma

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) football fan who in a coma for nine days after falling from the upper stand of the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium, died at about 2.15am today.

Roshdi Rosiman, 29, was pronounced dead at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital here due to head injuries caused by the fall in the second half of the Johor-Pahang match on May 25.
 
Roshdi's brother, Roshanizam, 23, said the family was initially hoping that he would recover from his injuries.
 
"When my brother opened his eyes momentarily on the second day after he was hospitalised, we experienced a ray of hope.
 
"However, he did not say a word and lapsed into coma again," Roshanizam said.
 
On May 25, Roshdi was believed to have fallen when he was bumped from behind while trying to retrieve a flag.
 
Police did not suspect foul play.  
 
He was laid to rest at the Kampung Bendahara Muslim cemetery in Kebun Teh here this morning.
