1MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL TOURISM NIGHT FLORAL PARADE 2012
(until July 8) Putrajaya. Watch local and international floral boats parade across the Putrajaya Lake, Precinct 2 from 8.30pm to 11.30pm. Themed Magic Of The Night, this year’s flotilla showcases beautifully illuminated and colourful creations from various states, corporations as well from China and Kenya. These floats will be competing for Overall Best Boat, Most Creative Boat, Best Lighted Boat and Most Popular Boat awards.
BORNEO CULTURAL FESTIVAL (July 6-16)
Phase I & II, Sibu Town Square, Sibu, Sarawak. A showcase of the rich racial and ethnic culture of this region, the Borneo Cultural Festival presents an interesting cultural event, which includes Malay Melanau Fest, Mandarin Fest, Dayak Fest, Malaysian lifestyle stage performance, traditional games and trade exhibition. AGNES KEITH DAY (Tomorrow)
Agnes Keith House, Jalan Istana, Sandakan, Sabah. Spend the day getting to know Agnes Keith, the renowned author of The Land Below The Wind, who chronicled her life experiences in Sandakan from 1934 to 1952. The house she lived in at that time was rebuilt and turned into a museum, and is now a popular tourist attraction.
