A new programme aims to help SPM school leavers make informed choices

.

ASTRO Tutor TV SPM has introduced Gradz, a weekly one-hour special that features a series of interesting  careers as well as educational related programmes for SPM school leavers.

It includes Kerjaya Impian (Dream Job), which  tackles various career and educational options, with a focus on successful Malaysians and their dream jobs.

One of the personalities featured is Ahmad Nasri Mohamed, a telecommunication engineer, who is now the general manager of Top Project IT & Network Technology at Telekom,  with over 10 years experience.

Another is photographer Jay Ismail, who runs his own company, Jay Ismail Photography.

There’s also Lepas SPM (After SPM), a student’s guide to what’s next after SPM and the various options available.

Meanwhile, Di Luar Sana will help students decide on the most suitable career and education options while Get A Life — Cool Career  deals with the challenges and issues faced when deciding one’s options.
Gradz airs every Sunday at 11am on Astro Tutor TV SPM (Channel 603). Details at www.astro.com.my/gradz or www.facebook.com/GradzMalaysia.

Following the success of Astro Tutor TV UPSR, both Astro Tutor TV PMR and Astro Tutor TV SPM were initially introduced last year as a revision channel for the PMR and SPM exam period. Within a month,  both channels reached a million viewership collectively, with over 60,000 fans on Facebook. The PageView for the official website for both channels were also the top two websites among the Astro content website.

Astro customers can now catch all Tutor TV channels including UPSR (Channel 601), PMR (Channel 602) and SPM (Channel 603) on a 24-hour basis everyday throughout the year.

Astro education head Ravi Gopal says: “It is our hope and goal that Astro Tutor TV will continue to guide students to achieving excellence in both their studies and examinations.”
This year, Astro Tutor TV channels including UPSR, PMR and SPM, are back with a brand new look and content.

Students taking the UPSR, PMR and SPM exams can muscle up on key learning subjects like Bahasa Malaysia, History, English and Science with numerous tips as well as exam model questions.

Meanwhile, the Red Button interactivity option allows students to identify and improve on their common mistakes.

Astro Tutor TV UPSR, PMR and SPM can be viewed by all Astro customers as well as government schools. Details at www.tutortv.com.my nstent@nst.com.my
