Notorious killers, not romance and comedy, propel this Korean drama skyward
SOUTH Korea’s top-rated crime series TEN, which boasts solid directing, a compelling script and a strong cast, will make its debut on KIX HD (Astro Channel 729) beginning Thursday.
Moving away from the usual romance and comedy storyline, TEN focuses on a special investigative team that probes violent and mysterious cases.
Joo Sang Wook (The Feast of the Gods and Paradise Ranch) leads the team with Jo An (King Gwanggaeto and Secret Investigation Record) as they hunt down notorious killers.
Taking more than three years to complete, each episode reportedly cost US$140,000 (RM440,000). TEN won the Best Contents Awards at the Guerime Awards 2011 and Grand Prize at the 2012 Cable TV Program Awards. Its sequel is slated for production some time next year.
TEN airs every Thursday at 10pm.
