MULTI-LEVEL parking facility is among the facilities which would be included in the second phase of Perdana Botanical Gardens' upgrading works.

"We are also going to implement a single entrance for visitors in order to supervise the vehicles going in and out of the park," he said, adding that the park authorities will upgrade the buggy  and bicycle services.

He added that the upgrading project which expected to be completed by 2014 will also  include building a visitor centre,  playground for children, a fine dining restaurant and a shop selling orchids.

"In phase two, the boathouse, deer park and the elevated shade at Panggung Anniversari are among the features that are being upgraded.

"As mentioned before, a playground based on Lat's Kampung Boy characters, garden for the disabled and canopy walk would also be build," he said during the Perdana Botanical Gardens Open Day on Saturday.

He added that the flora collections will be increased with more bromeliad, cactus, aroid, aquatic garden, bonsai and climber plants.
