KOTA TINGGI: SMK Linggi is a small school but its academic and career information centre is attracting the attention of students of other schools and parents in the district.
The centre's counselling teacher Ibrahim Ya'akub said parents and students from many schools were visiting the centre for career information.
"My hope is to turn the centre into an exemplary counselling and educational unit for other schools in Johor," said Ibrahim, adding that he welcomed help to achieve that goal.
Ibrahim said all 48 SMK Linggi students who sat for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia exam last year had gained admission to institutes of higher learning or entered Form Six.
"We know there are more career opportunities now. It is the role of teachers to guide students on their career paths."
Besides providing counselling and career information, the centre also offers services such as preparing student records, helping students to decide on their choice of universities and job opportunities.
