KUALA KANGSAR: Members of the media got to share a light moment with the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Dr Nazrin Shah, Raja Puan Besar Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim and their two children.
Today was the first time press photographers had a chance take snap shots of the royal couple's nine-month old princess Raja Nazira Safya as well as their prince, Raja Azlan Muzaffar Shah, 4, who was shown to the press for the first time during a function last year.
Raja Azlan Muzaffar Shah this time around however was overcome by ‘ royal shyness’ when he stopped walking and even closed part of his face when press photographers tried to take snap shots of him.
At that time, Raja Azlan Muzaffar Shah, who was accompanied by a palace assistant, was coming down the stairs from the Balairong Seni to the Dewan Santapan in Istana Iskandariah here after the end of the investiture ceremony in conjunction with Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah's 84th birthday.
As soon as the royal family reached Dewan Santapan, Raja Nazrin Shah and Tuanku Zara tried to coax the prince to show his face to photographers.
The determined prince was having non of it and continued to shield his face behind the door while peeping at scores of cameras waiting to take his photo.
This brought a smile to Raja Nazrin, who told the waiting photographers that the young prince was camera shy.
However true to his royal heritage, the young Raja Azlan Muzaffar Shah did not disappoint the waiting photographers as he 'relented' to his photos being taken with his parents and sister.
