New Sunday Times Motor Hunt (Sunday, 8 July 2012)
Terms and Conditions
- NSUT Motor Hunt is open to all Malaysian age 15 and above.
- Participants below 18 years of age must obtain consent/authorisation from their parents/guardian.
- Entry is on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis and limited to the first 200 teams. A team must consist of minimum 3 individuals and maximum 4 individuals and each individual is required to fill up ONE original registration form and submit as a team.
- There are 3 categories to the motor hunt: Beginner, Regular and Closed.
- BEGINNER category is open to all members of the public except for names listed in the TOS-HALL OF FAME and TRAILBLAZERS-Non Beginners list.
- REGULAR category is open to all names listed in the TOS-HALL OF FAME and TRAILBLAZERS-Non Beginners list and any member of the public who wishes to challenge the masters.
- CLOSED category is limited to members of the media and sponsors. All team members participating in this category must be either a member of a media entity or sponsor.
- All participants are to ensure that information submitted in the registration form is complete and accurate.
- The confirmation of participation is ONLY VALID once the payment on the registration fees is confirmed.
- For registration over the counter, a receipt will be given upon successful registration. For registration via post, a confirmation phone call followed by email will be made upon successful registration.
- The Receipt or Confirmation Email is the ONLY VALID proof of confirmed registration and to be used for the collection of goodie bag.
- By participating in the hunt, the participants agreed to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the organisers.
- All entries are NOT TRANSFERABLE, NOT REFUNDABLE AND NOT DEFERRABLE.
- Non-Malaysian participants must ensure that they obtain all necessary entry, exit, health and other documents required related to participating in this motor hunt. Please contact the necessary Consulate or Embassy for these additional requirements.
- The briefing session and collection of race pack will be held on Thursday, 5 July 2012 at 6pm at NSTP Office, 31 Jalan Riong, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. Other pertinent information will be disclosed during this briefing session. All participating teams are encouraged to attend the briefing session.
- Participating vehicles shall be motorized and travel on 4 wheels (excluding lorries and buses) having road tax and insurance valid as at the day of the hunt.
- The Driver and Navigator in each team MUST possess valid driving licenses as at the day of the hunt.
- The language used in this hunt will be English.
- Name listed in TOS-HALL OF FAME and TRAILBLAZERS-Non Beginners List will NOT be allowed to participate in the Beginner Category. Yet subject to the organizer’s approval.
- Participants must adhere to strict traffic rules and regulations applicable to pedestrians in the course of event. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any team found to have committed traffic offences.
- Indemnities: Every participant agrees to indemnify and keep the organisers, sponsors, servants and agents safe and harmless from and against any and all actions, claims, expenses or demands in respect of any loss, death, injury or property damage to participants or third parties however caused on or arising out of or in connection to this entry and their participation therein not-withstanding that the same may be contributed to or caused by negligence of the said organisers, sponsors, bodies, servants or agents. All participants will be required to sign the indemnity clause, which is included in the registration form.
- The organiser may, at their discretion refuse any entry, cancel or postpone the event without due notice in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. No claims of any kind arising from abandonment, cancellation or postponement of the event shall be entertained. Rules and regulations for the motor hunt shall be determined by the organisers.
- Disputes will NOT be entertained under any circumstances. The decision of awarding prizes and points by the Clerk-of-Course, the organizers and panel of judges is final and binding.
- The organiser including but not limited to NSTP reserves the right to publish and display the winners’ names, addresses and NRIC/Birth Cert No., their photographs and audio and/or visual recording for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation nor prior notification to the winners.
- The organiser including but not limited to NSTP shall reserve the right at its absolute discretion to substitute any of the prizes with that of similar value at any time without prior notice. All prizes are non-transferable.
- The organiser including but not limited to NSTP reserve the right at any time without assigning any reasons to add, alter, modify, change or vary the challenge procedures and terms and conditions, wholly or in part, at its absolute discretion.
- If participants do not consent to NSTP or the organisers processing his/her personal information for the motor hunt, then he/she must NOT participate in this motor hunt.
