Postgraduate: Integral step to landing global jobs
MSU’s Graduate School of Management (GSM) recognises that today’s global companies require managers with a broad outlook. Through its internationalisation effort, MSU attracts top students, employing faculty members with overseas experience and forming effective links with business.
The MSU-MBA aims to build on the foundations of work experience and, by providing new skills and knowledge, to enable students to make the transition to a higher level of responsibility. It provides sufficient knowledge to students to understand the various facets of an organisation so as to formulate successful strategies. It also instills a great deal of confidence.
There are many reasons so many students now consider an MSU-MBA to be an integral step in their career paths. Just having an MSU-MBA can make the difference between a high-paying, high-power job.
Active learning exercises act as a basis for verbal analysis and discussion, allowing for a rich learning environment by integrating the ‘real’ world into the classroom. New terms and concepts are defined in the margins to facilitate learning.
The sessions on strategic thinking, opening vignettes, and case studies provide thought-provoking questions and exercises that sharpen student’s problem-solving abilities. Opening vignettes are designed to illustrate the major issues found in each module with compelling real-world issues.
MSU-GSM has established collaborative educational links with a number of top overseas universities including those from the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Germany, Russia and China. The Postgraduate Student Exchange Programme is a means to provide international exposure to its postgraduate students.
Through this programme, students will have the opportunity to develop an awareness and appreciation of other cultures, political and economic environments, and approaches of doing business.
Professors of the MSU-MBA are accomplished teachers who have also made significant contributions to the business world, both as academics and working professionals. They conduct research and have published articles across a broad range of business and professional areas. They have also taught university-level business courses abroad, bringing their rich multi-cultural heritage to our country. Professors at MSU are rigorously selected worldwide from among the best consultants and professionals in their fields.
MSU also offers postgraduate, undergraduate and foundation programmes through its Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, Faculty of Business Management & Professional Studies, Faculty of Information Sciences & Engineering, International Medical School, School of Pharmacy, School of Graduate Studies and Centre for Foundation Studies.
