Undergraduate Focus: Foreign collaborations strengthen education experience

Renowned for its quality education and excellent track record of providing first-class graduates, KBU International College has become a household name and enjoyed far-reaching collaboration with international educational institutes from the UK and around the world.
The college was established by the First Nationwide Group, developer of the 1,000-acre fully-integrated and successful township of Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. With a campus that sits on a 13-acre site within Bandar Utama, students are able to benefit from state-of-the-art learning facilities as well as a comprehensive range of sports and recreational facilities. Students can enjoy a campus environment that is conducive to study while receiving a holistic education.
Quality education is the hallmark of KBU, with its intended outcome of producing highly employable graduates in a knowledge-based economy. At the same time, the college provides higher education opportunities to young Malaysians and foreign nationals in a wide range of academic and professional fields.
In line with KBU’s mission, the college collaborates with and franchises honours degree programmes from well-established universities in the UK, as well as professional bodies and established examination bodies. The UK degree programmes are conducted in the 3+0 mode.
Recognising the demand for young professionals in Malaysia and around the world, the college has also moved a notch closer in fulfilling its vision and mission by launching two new programmes. These are the BA (Hons) Furniture and Product Design in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University and KBU’s own Diploma in Advertising Design.
KBU also offers Masters of Business Administration (MBA) awarded by Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS) of Anglia Ruskin University, UK, and Foundation in Science, a collaboration between KBU and International Medical University.
Programmes in art and design, business, hospitality and tourism management, computing/ICT, software engineering, mass communication, language (English and German) as well as pre-university programmes such as Foundation in Science, Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) and GCE A-levels are also available at KBU.
KBU graduates have a track record of being recruited into exciting and rewarding careers in diverse fields ranging from engineering, computing, graphic design and interior architecture and design to business and hospitality all within a short timeframe and in many instances, immediately upon their graduation.
