    7-year-old boy feared drowned in river

    TAIPING: A 7-year-old boy is feared drowned while his parents managed to swim to safety after they were carried away by strong currents while swimming in Sungai Larah, Bukit Berapit, near here yesterday. Taiping district police chief Assistant Commissioner Yusof Mohd Diah said the missing child was Alif Aiman Zamzuri from Kampung Teloi Kanan, Kuala Ketil, in Kedah. The family was on its way from Ipoh to Baling, Kedah, when they decided to stop at Sungai Larah for a dip. At press time, the child's body had yet to be found.
