    A model rubber-growing village

    TELUPID (Sabah): Kampung Lumou, near here, has been turned into a pioneer village in a programme to expand the planting of rubber in Sabah, said Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) deputy director Ramlie Tumin.

    He said the planting was implemented under Risda's replanting assistance programme.

    "Under the programme, Kampung Lumou is turned into a model to promote good farming practices, including the use of suitable technology."

    He said 56 participants were taking part in the programme, involving 169.1ha. Bernama
