    SIGHTSEEING: Beliebers trail him and girlfriend Selena around town

    KUALA LUMPUR: IT'S his second visit to Malaysia, and teen singing sensation Justin Bieber still managed to create a phenomenon.

    The 18-year-old, who performed for the MTV World Stage yesterday, had thousands of fans trailing him and his actress-singer girlfriend Selena Gomez as they enjoyed shopping and some sightseeing around town on Friday.

    Among the thousands of Beliebers (Bieber fans) in Malaysia, some 100 of them got to see him up close at his Believe Southeast Asia press conference at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre yesterday.

    "I've missed you," Bieber told the crowd of screaming girls. "It's great to be back. I really love, love, love my Malaysian fans. You always welcome me with open arms."

    He recalled his first concert in the country last year at Stadium Merdeka.

    "I remember last time that it was raining badly, but as soon as I went on stage, it stopped. I guess Mother Nature must be a Belieber," he quipped.

    At the event to promote his latest album Believe, Bieber performed seven songs acoustically for the audience which also comprised members of the media.

    The songs were the ever popular Baby and One Less Lonely Girl from his extended play My World, and Die In Your Arms, Fall, Be Alright, As Long As You Love Me and Boyfriend from Believe.

    During the performance of one of his songs, Bieber invited a a fan on stage who instantly hugged him and burst into tears.

    As the song ended, he hugged her once more and gave her a kiss on the forehead, eliciting high-pitch screams from the other fans.

    At the MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia, yesterday night, Bieber had the audience eating out of his hands when he opened for the big concert.

    Bieber gave an energetic show for the 16,000 crowd, the biggest ever for the concert.

    The girls of K-Pop group Kara came up next with songs such as Mister, Step, Lupin and Honey.

    The other male performer of the night, American singer and rapper Jay Park closed the show with a bang. with Abandoned, Know Your Name, Turn Off Your Phone and Girlfriend.
