JOHOR BARU: Discover Malaysia by Sea. This is exactly what more than 70 "cruisers" will be experiencing, beginning from this southern gateway.

"Cruisers" is a term used for a group of people who live in their boats and travel the world, while still keeping in touch with the rest on land via Internet, blogs, social websites and also snail mail, among others.

Their yachts are equipped with the latest communication technology and they are accompanied by their spouse, children and even their pets.

These yachts berthed in at Danga Bay Marina about three days ago in the Sail Malaysia rally, which is supported by Tourism Malaysia.

More than 25 yachts from the United States, Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Scotland are participating in the Sail Malaysia-Discover Malaysia by Sea rally and will start by living the lifestyle of Johoreans.

They will be learning the zapin dance, eat laksa Johor, nasi ambang and also learn about the history of Johor while discovering the vast diversity in heritage, religion and culture in Malaysia.
