KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air (Kita) has called on lawyer M. Puravalen to sue blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin for accusing him of being involved in an alleged conspiracy related to the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder.

Party president Zamil Ibrahim said Puravalen should also explain why he had decided to take legal action against the New Straits Times instead of the fugitive blogger.

"Puravalen should sue Raja Petra for making those allegations. NST was just reporting what the blogger had written on the issue," he said yesterday.

"Why has the act of suing newspapers become the habit of certain individuals and leaders in the country?"

Zamil added that the police and the attorney-general should step in and conduct a thorough investigation into the matter if Puravalen failed to sue Raja Petra.
