SUBANG JAYA: Residents of the Boulevard Subang Jaya, here, were horrified when they woke up yesterday morning to see a Caucasian man hanging from the railing of his balcony.
The victim, identified as Michel De Lottinville, 48, was the head of the Science and Math department at Taylor’s College.
The 48-year-old lived alone on the fifth floor of the apartments and was in his third year of teaching at the college. The man from Halifax was believed to have left a note for his girlfriend.
It was learnt that Michel whose ex-wife and five children are in Canada, had not shown any indication of being depressed or troubled prior to the incident.
The college’s Canadian pre-university division principal Jim Leonard said Michael had always been a positive person although he had just closed his social networking account last week.
Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Ramli said the case was classified as sudden death pending the results of the post mortem.
