    Murder accused to undergo psychiatric test

    PETALING JAYA: The magistrate's court allowed the first accused in the murder trial of a college lecturer and her father to undergo psychiatric evaluation.

    Mohd Rafik Rahem applied for his client, Mohamad Zul Shahril Suhaimi, 20, to be tested under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code, informing magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abdul Wahid that it was necessary to gauge his mental health at the time of the murder.

    Zul Shahril is jointly charged with Mohamad Sharafe Matt Noh, 19, Azizi Aizat Ibrahim, 20, and Muhamad Safwan Muhamad, 20, with murdering Zara Eleena Omar Peter and her father, Omar Peter Abdullah, at their house in Taman Kinrara, Puchong, here between 11.30pm and 2.30am on March 8.

    Ahmad Solihin fixed May 23 for mention pending the psychiatric evaluation and chemist report. Bernama
