KAJANG: The 19-year-old woman who was found dead together with a businessman in a double-storey house in Taman Segar Perdana on Thursday was a business management student at a private college in Kuala Lumpur.
Vivien Wong also worked as a part-time model, said her mother at the Serdang Hospital mortuary.
The mother, who did not want to be identified, said the last time she had communicated with her daughter was on Wednesday at 8pm.
"I sent her a (text) message ... asking her if she was all right as I was abroad on business but I received no reply."
She said she always asked her daughter to bring her friends home whenever she went away on business trips as she did not want her daughter staying at home alone.
"I also told her to check on my shop's accounts while I was away."
The mother, who arrived here at 1am yesterday, said she only knew about what happened to her daughter much later.
"My daughter never worked in a pub or club. She was a student and doing her internship at a law firm. I can't understand why anyone would want to kill her," said the businesswoman who was accompanied by relatives at the mortuary.
She said she believed Wong was not the target and was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
On Leong Kian Sheong, the man who was found dead in the same house, Wong's mother said she had no idea who he was.
"I do not know if they were in a relationship. My daughter never told me about him."
Initial post-mortem examination report on Wong showed that she died from a slash wound on the upper part of the body and neck while Leong's cause of death was from a stab to the chest that pierced the heart.
Wong and Leong were believed to have been attacked by more than two people between 6am and 6.30am on Thursday.
They were believed to have put up a fierce fight based on blood splatter at the crime scene.
