IPOH: A teen was shot in his left leg by a close relative at their house in Laluan Panorama Rapat Indah here yesterday.
R. Hariharen, 15, was believed to have been shot when he tried to intervene during an argument between the suspect and his wife at 4.30pm.
Sources said the suspect, in his 40s, had earlier tried to shoot his wife following a misunderstanding.
It is learnt that the couple had been living separately for the past two months after the man accused his wife of infidelity.
The suspect later fled the scene on his motorcycle.
When met at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here, the victim, a SM Sri Ampang student, said he tried to prevent the man from shooting the woman.
Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azisman Alian said they were looking for the suspect.
