    Sabah minister hurt in accident

    KOTA KINABALU: State Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun was among three people injured in an accident at Km6 of Jalan Kepayan here yesterday.

    Azizah, who is Klias assemblyman, and her bodyguard, Sairun Hamid, were heading towards Beaufort in a four-wheel-drive when the driver lost control of the car, which skidded and rammed into a road divider near Kota Kinabalu International Airport Terminal 1, at 7.45am.

    Azizah and the driver, Yousriesyah Hujin, sustained minor injuries while Sairun broke his leg.

    City Police chief Assistant Commisioner Ahmad Sofi Zakaria said it was raining when the accident occurred and all victims were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital."

    Azizah's husband, Paiman Abdul Karim, said he had breakfast with his wife before she left for Beaufort to launch a talk organised by Sabah's Pergerakan Puteri Islam and to attend a Wanita Umno meeting.
