KUALA LUMPUR: In time when many quarters are busy distributing aid and channeling donations to flood victims in Kelantan, approximately 100 victims taking shelter at a school in Kuala Krai, have been living without food, clean water, electricity or any aid for over 40 hours.
KUALA LUMPUR: The number of flood victims in seven states has now reached 120,341 people with Kelantan having the highest number of victims with 45,467 people as at 9pm.
SEREMBAN: Six people, including two children, were rescued after being trapped in their houses at Kampung Baru Block C, Ampangan here, due to flash floods today.
DUNGUN: About 80 percent of villages in Hulu Dungun have been flooded since the first wave of floods on Dec 15 when Sungai Dungun overflowed due to the high tide phenomenon.
IPOH: The flood situation in Perak worsened with the number of victims evacuated increasing from 6,000 this morning to 6,293 people this evening.
PADANG BESAR: A 15-year-old teenager was found drowned at a manmade pond near padi field in Beseri today.
KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government will decide tomorrow whether or not to proceed with the special sitting of the State Legislative Assembly for tabling of the Kelantan Syariah Criminal Code II or hudud scheduled for Monday (Dec 29).
GEORGE TOWN: Firefly Airlines will send several chartered flights to send aid to flood-stricken Kota Baru and Kuala Terengganu soon.
TELUK INTAN: Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir has denied rumours that the town here including the famous Menara Condong will sink due to flood.
ALOR STAR: Kedahans who wish to ease the burden of flood victims in the East Coast states may do so by making contribution at the Urban Transformation Centre.
