PETALING JAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin spent about an hour this afternoon visiting Taman Medan Baru in the Petaling Jaya (PJ) Selatan Parliamentary constituency, here.
Muhyiddin, who is also the Barisan Nasional (BN) deputy chairman, joined the residents for the afternoon tea besides discussing local issues with the BN representatives in the constituency.
He also gave away a donation of five wheelchairs to disabled residents before visiting the night market site located next door.
He was accompanied by Selangor BN deputy chairman Datuk Seri Noh Omar and Selangor MCA chairman Datuk Donald Lim.
Meanwhile when approached later, Lim said the BN had never neglected the welfare of residents in the Parliamentary constituency although it was administered by the opposition.
"There are infrastructure issues here but we are improving from time to time.
"Pakatan Rakyat didn't do much for the last few years. I hope people know that and will give BN a chance. I hope the people here would understand that we will continue helping them," Lim said. - Bernama
