    Anuar challenges Saifuddin

    KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution must refute the growing perception that PKR is a free sex party.

    Anuar Shaari, a former aide to opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, yesterday urged Saifuddin to deny the affair between Anwar and Shamsidar Taharin, who is PKR vice-president Azmin Ali's wife.

    "If he is truly confident that Anwar is telling the truth, then he should have no problem denying the allegation made by Senator Datuk S. Nallakaruppan," he said via text message.

    He also asked Saifuddin to clarify Nallakaruppan's claim that there had been a "result" from the alleged affair.

    "Perhaps Saifuddin together with Shamsidar and Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail can explain the relationship between Nurul Izzah Anwar and Azmin's daughter," Anuar said.

    He added that Saifuddin should declare whether he agrees with Nallakaruppan that a bisexual was unfit to be a prime minister or opposition leader.
