'Anwar and Azmin are desperate'

KUALA LUMPUR: The move by opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Parti Keadilan Rakyat deputy president Azmin Ali to drag the public into their personal issues is an act of desperation.

Gerakan Anti-Penyelewengan Kedah chairman Khairul Anuar Ramli said it was inappropriate for Anwar and Azmin to organise the Perhimpunan Shamsidar next Saturday at Dataran Merdeka as they should not involve the public in their personal issues.

"It's obvious that Anwar and Azmin are desperate after Malaysian Indian United Party president Senator Datuk S. Nallakaruppan had managed to get Azmin's wife Shamsidar as his key witness in the defamation suit filed against him by Anwar to take the stand on Jan 18.
