'BN can fix Kelantan water woes'

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government will not be able to solve the state's water problems, although it has received a RM600 million loan from the Federal Government, said the prime minister's political secretary.

Datuk Mohd Fatmi Che Salleh said it would not be feasible for the Federal Government to give it an extra RM2 billion as the water problems would not be solved.

"We had earlier given the state a RM600 million loan. It is better to hand over the Kelantan government to Barisan Nasional, which will solve the water problems within one term."

Fatmi, who is also Kota Baru Umno chief, said this after giving cash handouts to students of institutions of higher learning here yesterday. Bernama
