SEPANG: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) landed the last commercial journey of its fleet of Boeing 737-400 aircraft after its final flight arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), near here, today.

Arriving passengers were greeted by MAS senior management and presented with memorabilia postcards to mark the occasion after the plane touched down at about 9:30pm.

MAS Group Chief Executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said the Boeing 734 has been “a real workhorse, reliably flying our guests for the past 22 years."

MAS, who operated over 50 B734-400 during the aircraft’s prime, will be replacing the fleet with a more efficient and environmentally-friendly B737-800.
