KUCHING: An emotional tribute for the late Tan Sri Adenan Satem, believed to have been penned by one his three daughters, went viral on the social media today.
The tribute, believed to have been written by Aziza Jasmi Adenan, have been shared among many users on Facebook.
Several users believed to be close relatives to the 33-year-old entrepreneur also shared and tagged her Facebook account under the user name, Aziza Adenan.
“Yesterday, I just lost a part of my heart and my soul. I had to face a hard reality of losing a parent.
“It is the hardest time for me right now and I find solace in the love that everyone has for my late father.
“People from far and near all came to say their goodbyes and they all share their amazing stories about him,” said Aziza.
She also declared that her father was a true statesman and that Adenan deserved every bit of the Sarawak flag, which covered his coffin.
“He lived and breathed for Sarawak. He holds his state, his people close to his heart.
“Even towards his last days, he was still making decisions for the state,” she said.
She also included a quote from her mother, Puan Sri Jamilah Anu’s interview with the press, in which her late father had said this to her mother: “I want people to love Sarawak as much as I do Milah, cause if they do, they will take good care of it”.
Aziza also thanked the people of Sarawak for the overwhelming support to her father until his final day.
“Allah knows how much he has given to our beloved state. May all his deed be accepted by Allah.
“And like he always tells me “don’t say goodbye, say Au Revoir, which is till we meet again”.
“Till we meet again Daddy. May Allah forgive all your sins and place you at the highest form of Jannah. Amin.”
