ADVERTISING: User's manual a must

THERE are many advertisements these days appearing in different types of media. These advertisements make many claims.

But how much truth is there to these claims? The government should monitor these claims.

For example, electronic goods. All electronic goods must have a user's manual.

I have carried a survey and most of them do not come with a user's manual. Consumers are told that if you want to learn how to operate an item, you can attend a course.

Make it compulsory for electronic goods to have such user's manual.
