FOOD PRICES: Check its price against weight

MENGLEMBU groundnuts continue to be very popular among Malaysians.

They make a good snack, especially during tea time.

Many years ago, a medium pack cost between RM1.80 and RM1.90. I never missed picking up a few packs in Kampar in the early 1980s.

Currently, a pack of the ground-nuts weighing 120g costs RM3.60. Prices of goods have gone up over the years.

I urge the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry to check and ensure the RM3.60 price is commensurate with its featherweight content.
