HOOLIGANISM: There's no excuse for attacking cops

OVER the years, there have been many incidents of spectators at football matches losing control of their emotions when the final whistle was blown.

These do not happen only   in Malaysia, but also all over the world.

Of late, there has been a worrying increase  of such incidents that should prompt the Football Association of Malaysia and the police to pay  attention during critical matches.

Such an incident happened at the match between Sarawak and Kelantan in  Petra Jaya, Sarawak,  on April 7.

Action must be taken against the two spectators who attacked the police Light Strike Force personnel. There is no excuse whatsoever for attacking the police.

I hope those who cause such problems will be banned from attending  football games and charged in court, too.

I hope  their faces will be published in the media. This is to enable the public to know who these people are and avoid them.

Society has no place for such people and  it has the right to be aware of these people. This is not discrimination. This is to avoid trouble.
