RALLY: Not too late to accept Merdeka Stadium offer

IT is with dismay that I read of Bersih 3.0’s insistence on using Dataran Merdeka on Saturday.

The reason  that it is too late to inform the demonstrators is not acceptable:

THE  organisers should have refrained from announcing the venue and printing publicity material before determining that approval will be  granted; and,

THE  use of new media is so efficient that it would pose no problem  informing the participants of the  change of venue.

It seems that the organisers are bent on using  Dataran Merdeka.  It will suit their purposes to be seen   as victims of suppression.

I  support the call for free and fair elections. The message must be delivered without  obfuscation, which is what may happen  this weekend.    I hope that the offer of    Merdeka  Stadium will be accepted.

Bersih 3.0 can hold its rally at Merdeka Stadium instead of Dataran Merdeka tomorrow.
