THE collapse of a lightning arrester pole in Penang recently was probably because of an error in its design. The pole was fitted with more than a dozen metal discs that served as a ladder for a maintenance technician to reach the lightning arrester on top of the pole.
THE threat by the opposition to boycott their swearing in at the Dewan Rakyat is a silly exercise. The Pakatan members of parliament were elected by the people to be in Parliament to represent the people. They were elected as a form of check and balance to the government.
