CONNECTED:Long-established developer, IJM Land Bhd, unveiled what is considered one of its biggest projects to date, the RM11 billion Bandar Rimbayu (previously known as Canal City) near Kota Kemuning in Selangor recently. The green township, spread over 1,879 acres, is designed with an emphasis on sustainable lifestyle and strong connectivity.
“The Bandar Rimbayu township reflects IJM Land’s vision of what townships of the future will look like which is very much green in concept, carefully planned and well-designed, with a strong holistic lifestyle element,” said IJM Land Bhd managing director and chief executive officer DatukSoamHengChoon.
“In addition to green living, we also emphasise on connectivity on three levels – physical, social and virtual. We make it convenient for residents to move around within the township and beyond, and we also emphasise the formation of meaningful relationships amongst residents. In terms of virtual connectivity, we ensure that the infrastructure for fibre to home is ready so that when they move in, they can immediately immerse themselves in cyberspace just by activating their account,” the IJM Land boss added.
To expedite the virtual process, the developer has recently signed an agreement with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) for the latter to provide high speed broadband (HSBB) infrastructure in Bandar Rimbayu. As part of its commitment to the concept of a future township, the developer has offered the service including UniFi to residents of its first phase free for the first year.
