Ana Leong@Subang: What is the difference between a property preview, soft launch and official launch? Can we legally pay the booking fee during any of the above event to secure a unit? What if we change our minds, is there a cooling period when we can get a full refund without any questions asked?
RED: Those are the terms normally used by the developer for marketing purposes. The terms have no legal definition. The booking fees can be paid during any of the above events and you are advised to read all the terms stated in the advertisement and/or booking form carefully to understand all the terms, especially the small print. Whether you will be refunded when you change your mind depends on whether the “cooling period” is provided for in the booking form. However, if it is a residential property, no sale can be done unless the developer has obtained the APDL (Advertising Permit and Developer License).
