The contractors messed up the renovation of my house. They offered to remedy it, but I don’t have confidence in them anymore. What can I do?

RED: You can elect to fix it up yourself or through your other contractors and then claim for the damages. You must ensure that the problems and defects are well recorded to support your claim later. A common ex- cuse by the contractor would be that they are no longer responsible since it is subse- quently fixed by other contractors.
