KC Tiew@Subang: I have engaged the services of a real-estate negotiator to rent out my apartment unit. Please advise at which stage do I have to pay his commission.

RED: The commission is payable upon successful closure/completion of the rental ie. normally paid when the Tenancy Agreement is signed and executed. Some owners however may only pay the commission upon handing over the unit if the tenancy is conditional.
