MEMORABLE: The launch was witnessed by former NBA legends and members of the All-Star US Pro-Basketball Alumni

SwhengTee International Real Estate Investment Club recently launched “SwhengTee International Real Estate Exchange Center” (SIREC), a one-stop resource centre for all activities related to property. Hailed as the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, the centre acts as a platform for the exchange of ideas, support, networking, consultancy and investment.

“The concept is very much like a stock exchange where buying and selling takes place. We hope to promote a healthy environment for investors to interact. This will be supported by various facilities and amenities such as a library, bookstore, cafe, seminar rooms and exhibition areas for marketing professionals to hold their activities,” said Gavin Tee, Founding President of SwhengTee Investors Club.

Tee added that it has always been the dream of members of his investor club to set up such a centre providing all the needs of a property investor under one roof. “This dream is now finally realised with our purchase of VSQ Corporate Tower 2 in Petaling Jaya, where SIREC will be located,” said Tee.

The VSQ premises is also envisioned to house all property investor clubs and service providers such as real estate agents, valuers, developers, lawyers, architects, interior designers, feng shui masters and financial advisers.

The launch of SIREC was attended by a dazzling line-up of former National Basketball Association (NBA) legends and members of the All-Star US Pro-Basketball Alumni who were in town to play an exhibition match at Shah Alam Malawati Stadium co-sponsored by SwhengTee. The basketball stars included Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant, Mitch Richmond, Charles Smith and coach Oscar Robertson.

Tee, an avid basketball fan, named Dennis Rodman as one of his favourite players during his university days in the United States. He added that he would even try to accommodate a basketball court in SIREC to promote the sport.

“Ultimately, SIREC will become a landmark for all property buyers and investors,” he said.

SIREC, which is due to commence operations in January 2013, is free for the public.
