JUNG Jae Sung-Lee Yong Dae of South Korea overcame gritty Danish pair Mathis Boe-Carsten Mogensen 23-21, 19-21, 21-11 to win the Indonesia Open premier super series doubles crown in Jakarta yesterday.
Jae Sung-Yong Dae, the World No 2 pair, who also won the All England title in March, took 76 minutes to complete their win.
Jae Sung had missed several tournaments, including the Thomas Cup Finals in Wuhan last month, due to shoulder and back injuries but yesterday's win is clear indication that the Korean pair is expected to make up for their failure to win the Olympic gold in Beijing four years ago, this time around in London.
Simon Santoso of Indonesia won the men's singles crown beating Du Pengyu of China 21-18, 13-21, 21-11 while Saina Nehwal of India won her battle against the dominant China shuttlers, beating Li Xuerui 13-21, 22-20, 21-19 to lift her second Indonesia Open crown.
