MALAYSIAN interest in the German Open ended after Goh Liu Ying-Lim Yin Loo were sent packing in the women's doubles quarter-finals in Mulheim on Friday.
The unseeded national pair found Japan's Misaki Matsutomo-Ayaka Takahashi too hot to handle as the top seeds cruised into the semi-finals with a 21-11, 21-5 win in 30 minutes.
World No 25 Liu Ying-Yin Loo's run to the last eight has been a success of sorts after their two previous outings together this year ended with first round defeats at the Malaysia Open and Korea Open.
They play at the All-England next week in Birmingham where they meet Indonesians Pia Zabedah-Rizki Pradipta in the first round.
