    KEDAH'S Muhamad Hanif Mohd Yunus did well to clinch two gold medals on the opening day of the Malaysia Games weightlifting competition at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Convention Hall in Pekan yesterday.

    Malaysia GamesCompeting in the men's 52kg  category, the 15-year-old won the snatch and clean and jerk disciplines recording 93kg and 111kg lifts respectively.

    Muhamad Hanif said: "I am very happy to have two gold medals today (yesterday) as I did not win any medals at the 2010 Malacca Games.

    This is a huge boost for me and I will definitely work hard to improve and defend my gold medals at the 2014 Games."

    Weightlifter Muhamad Hanif Mohd Yunus gave Kedah two gold medals in the 52kg event.
