KELANTAN were unceremoniously thrown out of the National Under-16 tournament after they staged a walkout in their match against Malacca at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil yesterday.

Kelantan skipper Muhammad Azmie Othman, who was red carded, was also referred to the MHC DB.

The decision also means all their previous matches in Group B are now null and void.

The incident happened nine minutes from time when Malacca were leading 4-3 and Azmie was shown the red card.

He then attempted to attack the umpire but was restrained by his teammates. But a spectator then walked onto the pitch and was said to have slapped a Kelantan player which resulted in the team being ordered to the changing room.

Kelantan refused to continue the with the match after that.
