MANINDERJIT Singh, who quit in a huff as Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) secretary in March, has finally broken his silence.
In an e-mail to the press yesterday, he wrote: "I would like to personally thank everyone during my tenure as the General Manager and Secretary General of MHF and MHC since July 2009.
The e-mail stated all the national body's achievements during Maninderjit's tenure.
"This (quitting) has been a very difficult decision for me, but I feel it is an appropriate choice for my future undertakings in term of career advancement and family."
Maninderjit sent in his resignation via e-mail to MHC president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, after Malaysia failed to qualify for the Olympics.
Tengku Abdullah was taken aback as Maninderjit did not come to see him and discuss his sudden resignation.
The MHC replaced Maninderjit with Johari Aziz at a council meeting on April 10.
