    CUB PRIX: Elly is tops in Kangar

    ELLY Idzlianizar Ilias won the CP130 category in the third round of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix in Kangar yesterday.

    The Suzuki FortyOne rider completed the 15-lap race with a total time of 11 minutes 31.487s

    Harian Metro Y-TEQ SCK Honda Racing's Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman and Mohd Affendi Rosli, who started from front row, found themselves entangled in a crash in the first lap.

    Azlan was able to resume with the race and finish in seventh place but Affendi had to stop.

    Elly said: "The team worked hard in the past two rounds but things did not work out. So, it feels great to finally see our efforts pay off here in my hometown."

    Elly moved up to sixth in the overall standings while Azlan remains at the top of the CP130 class. Second was rookie Mohd Zaqwan Zaidi (Pachie Yuzy Honda Racing) and Fuad was third.
