f Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) have named five riders for the three-day Le Tour of East Java in Surabaya starting Aug 29.

TSG chief executive officer, Hadi Hassan said the team will be led by upcoming cyclist Harris Saleh.

The others are Harris' brother Mohd Zamri, Mohd Shahrul Mat Amin, Mohd Nor Umardi Rosli and Nur Amirull Fakhruddin Marzuki.

Hadi said the tour is expected to be lively as many professional teams from Asia will be taking part and TSG are expected to give them a stiff fight.

"Despite it being Ramadan, TSG riders are training to improve their endurance in preparation for the Tour," Hadi said.

In another development, he said two local riders from the Malaysia Games have been identified for the TSG squad.

Hadi said the duo may be offered a yearly contract from Jan 1 if they can prove their worth during training. He declined to name the riders as they are in the process of negotiating the contract. Bernama
