TAKASHI Kogure and Carlo Van Dam topped qualifying in the GT500 class of the Super GT International Series Malaysia at the Sepang Circuit yesterday.

Yuji Tachikawa and Kohei Hirate clocked 1:55.503s to put Toyota's Zent Cerumo SC430 on the front row alongside Kogure and Van Dam for the rolling start in today's race.

The GT300 class saw Masami Kageyama and Tomonobu Fujii give Porsche pole position as they clocked 2:04.262s on board the Hankook Porsche.

Koji Yamanishi and Hideki Yamauchi were second fastest on board the JLoc Lamborghini.

Local hopes Thunder Asia Racing Team have a lot of work to do after Fairuz Fauzy and Hiroki Yoshida only managed a 17th fastest time in a field of 22 cars on board their Mosler MT900M.
